Today Im going to show you some free software that will allow you to create fillable forms. All right, well, lets jump on the computer and lets get started. To create a PDF form, were going to use an application called LibreOffice. You can get this at the website libraryoffice.org. Ive also included a link in the description of this video. You can just click on that and thatll bring you to this website. LibreOffice is kind of like Microsoft Office. It has a similar set of applications. Its easy to create fillable PDF form in docHub. Open Acrobat. Select a file or scan a document. Add new form fields. To change existing text boxes or images, click Edit in the toolbar. Save your fillable PDF.
With a PDF containing interactive form fields open in Acrobat, select Plug-Ins Form Tools Edit Form Field Names to open this tool. In the Edit Form Field Names dialog, all given field names in the input will be listed on the right.
Open the fillable PDF form using a PDF reader such as docHub Reader. Fill in the form by clicking on the text fields and entering your information. Save the form by clicking the Save button in the PDF reader, or use the Save As option to save a copy of the form with your entered information.
In Acrobat, open the completed form file. From the All tools menu, select Prepare a form and then from the left panel that opens, select Export data. In the Export Form Data As dialog box, select the format (FDF, XFDF, XML, or TXT) in which you want to save the form data.
To save the filled-out form, go to File and Select Save or go to File and Save As. DO NOT use Print and docHub PDF to save the form. What if your PDF form still opens in your browser? If your PDF still opens in the browser when you open the file in the desktop, you will need to adjust your file properties.
Open the fillable PDF. Select Tools Forms More Form Options Merge Data Files into Spreadsheets. You can now export everything from your fillable PDF file to an Excel spreadsheet.
