In this video tutorial, the process of exporting a PDF for commercial offset printing is demonstrated on macOS, with the steps being the same for Windows. The tutorial begins with an InDesign document containing a mock magazine article, with bleed set to 1/8 inch in Document Setup. The focus is on quickly exporting a PDF, but later on, creating custom presets and explaining available options is also covered. To export the PDF, navigate to the File menu and select Export, or use the keyboard shortcut Command-E on macOS or Control-E on Windows. The Export dialog allows the choice of location and format, with the recommendation to choose the docHub PDF (Print) format and enable naming the PDF with the document name for clarity.
