Open the PDF document. On a Mac, this will open the preview app. Using the thumbnail views, scroll down to the first page that you want to save separately from your PDF. Drag and drop the single page from the thumbnail of the PDF to your Mac desktop.
Press Control (on Windows) or Command (on Mac) and click on the pages you want to extract. Right-click on the selected pages. Choose Extract Pages In the new dialog box, check Extract Pages As Separate Files if you want each page as a separate PDF.
I will show you how to do it below. Step 1: Go to Print The first thing you should do is open your PDF with Preview. Step 2: Select pages. Next, in the Copies option in the Print window, you can set the pages you want to extract from the PDF. Step 3: Choose Save as PDF Step 4: Save your file.
You can also select multiple pages by holding down the Command key on your keyboard while clicking on each page you want to extract.
Save a document as a PDF on Mac On your Mac, open the document you want to save as a PDF. Choose File Print. Click the PDF button or click the down arrow to open the PDF pop-up menu, then choose Save as PDF. Choose a name and location for the PDF file. To protect your document with a password, click Security Options.
Open your PDF in the Preview app. Open the thumbnail view and select the page or pages you would like to separate. Drag and drop the pages to your desktop or to another folder.
Export selections from a PDF to another format Right-click the selected text and choose Export Selection As. Select a format from the Save As Type list and select Save.
Highlight pages you want to extract To extract non-consecutive pages, click a page to extract, then hold the Ctrl key (Windows) or Cmd key (Mac) and click each additional page you want to extract into a new PDF document.
