Part 2. How to Save Certain Pages of a PDF Using Preview on Mac Step 1: Go to Print The first thing you should do is open your PDF with Preview. Step 2: Select pages. Step 3: Choose Save as PDF Step 4: Save your file.
In the Preview app on your Mac, click the Show Markup Toolbar button (if the Markup toolbar isnt showing), click the Selection Tools menu , then choose the Smart Lasso tool . Trace the edge of the image you want to extract. Make sure the images edge is within the thick border that appears as you trace.
You can export a PDF or image to save it as a different type of file. In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file you want to export. Choose File Export, then select a file type from the Format pop-up menu.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF file, choose View Thumbnails, then select the page in the thumbnail sidebar. Click File Export, type a name, add a tag (optional), then choose where you want to save it. Click the Format pop-up menu and choose an image format (such as PNG). Click Save.
Open the PDF in Preview, show the sidebars thumbnail view ( Cmd-Opt-2 ), and select the pages you want to have as a separate document in the sidebar (you can select multiple pages by holding Cmd down while clicking, or select a range of pages by selecting the first, then selecting the last while while holding down
Copy images from PDF Click to select the desired image and you can use the shortcut key on your Mac to copy the image. Scroll your mouse to the image on the PDF to select the image and then click the Command + C to copy the image to the clipboard.
(1) Enable thumbnail view, click on the ONE PAGE you want to convert to jpg, then choose export. If you choose more than one page, only the first will get exported to jpg. (2) Create a copy of the file, delete all the pages except the one you want to export to JPG, and export that page.
Press Command-Shift-4 and then drag a box to select the image - when you let go, it will automatically save to your screenshots location.
