You must have the password to the secured PDF and proper permissions in order to open and copy it. When using Chrome, open the PDF, then click the Print icon. Select Save as PDF, then Save. When using Acrobat Pro, open the PDF file and enter the password.
- Open the PDF file in Preview. If the file is password-protected, enter the password to open it. - Click on File in the menu bar at the top of the screen and select Export. - In the Export dialog box, select PDF from the format drop-down menu.
Please note that it is illegal to download the protected PDF from others, so only download your own protected PDF. If you have one protected PDF with a password and want to remove it, you can use the UPDF PDF editor.
Once you have it, follow these steps: Open Acrobat and open the PDF. Press Command-D to see security options, or click File Document Properties. Type in the password. Choose No Password from the dropdown menu where the password is used. Click OK, then OK again. Save the PDF.
How to unlock a PDF to remove password security: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Use the Unlock tool: Choose Tools Protect Encrypt Remove Security. Remove Security: The options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document.
Turn off FileVault on Mac Choose Apple menu System Settings, click Privacy Security in the sidebar, then click FileVault. (You may need to scroll down.) Open Privacy Security settings for me. Click Turn Off. Click Turn Off Encryption.
In the Finder on your Mac, open a window, then Control-click the item you want to encrypt in the sidebar. Choose Encrypt [item name] from the shortcut menu.
Click File Save. Check the encrypt box enter your password click save.
