On this episode let me show you how to change a creation date of a file. But first let me show you why you might want to do that. Here I am in Photos and Ive selected a photo. Im going to use Command I to get info on that photo and I see it was created on July 17, 2014. That was the exact time that the photo was taken. However if I were to go to File, Export and export a photo and say Im going to do it as a small photo, as a jpeg. Im going to export it and put it on the desktop and now I get this file here on the desktop. If I select that file and use Command I to get info on that file you can see that the file was created today. But the photo was taken in 2014 and Id like the file creation date to actually be the same as the date that the photo was taken. At least in this case. So how can I do that? To do this Im going to use the Terminal. You can find the Terminal app by going to Launchpad, searching for Terminal, and running it. Then Im going to use a command called Touch. So
