Im going to show you how to export or save a file as a PDF in illustrator so if I have a document here that I want to save I can go up to file I do not go to export I actually just go to save as once Im in the save as dialog box I can decide where Im saving it what I name it but also the format under format we can change it to docHub PDF when we hit save we get the PDF dialog box now theres custom PDF presets a lot of times back in the day I would either use this one or the high quality print one or if Im doing a web pdf I might do smallest file size or I can actually change that over here on the left Ill show you in a second now if you want to preserve illustrators editing capabilities so you can open this PDF up in illustrator and be able to edit the document just fine you got check mark preserve illustrator editing capabilities right here now theres some other options here that you can use if you need them you can also change the compatibility of this file as well next up you

Export PDFs to common file types and retain layout Open your PDF in Acrobat. Either choose File Export To or choose Tools Export PDF.
To extract fillable fields in a PDF, select a completed document as a template and click Extract in Bulk on the right pane. Define the fields with data you would like to extract. Click Add New Data Field in the upper right corner and draw a rectangle around the data youd like to extract.
You can change PDF export settings before you export (in the Preferences dialog box), or, when you export (in the Export dialog box) as follows: Before you export: Choose Edit Preferences, then click the PDF Export symbol to display settings on the Preferences: PDF Export page.
Export file data In Acrobat, open the completed form file. From the All tools menu, select Prepare a form and then from the left panel that opens, select Export data. In the Export Form Data As dialog box, select the format (FDF, XFDF, XML, or TXT) in which you want to save the form data.
Copy text and images from PDFs Right-click the document, and choose Select Tool from the pop-up menu. Drag to select text, or click to select an image. Right-click the selected item, and choose Copy.
To create a replica of your original PDF, you can reformat the document using the tools available in the program that the file was exported to. Open the PDF document you want to export. From the menu bar select File and choose Export. From the list of available formats, select your desired type.
Follow these steps to get started: Open your PDF in docHub Reader. Click the Select Tool button (arrow icon) in the toolbar to highlight text in the PDF. Click and drag to select the text. Highlight the text, right-click, select Copy, or use Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on Mac.
Open the ArcGIS Project. On the Share ribbon tab, click Export Map. In the Export Map pane, for File Type, select PDF from the drop-down menu.
