Right click on the field that you want to update. Choose the Toggle Field Codes option from the context menu. You will see the MergeField expand in the document itself.
Use this setting to enable Custom Report refreshes by using Microsoft Excel recalculation keys. When this setting is enabled, you can use F9 to refresh the entire workbook or Shift + F9 to refresh the current sheet.
Clear All Formatting Select the text with the formatting you want to clear. Select Home Clear All Formatting. or press Ctrl + Spacebar.
Press the SHIFT+TAB key repeatedly until the cursor is in the Current keys box. Press DOWN ARROW or UP ARROW to select the keyboard shortcut that you want to remove. Press the TAB key repeatedly until Remove is selected, and then press ENTER.
Open the document where the field codes are displayed. Press Alt+F9 to turn off field codes currently on the page.
Remove a password from a document Open the document and enter its password. Go to File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. Clear the password in the Password box, and then click OK.
Select the border of the text box that you want to delete, and then press DELETE. Make sure that the pointer is on the border of the text box and not inside the text box. If the pointer is not on the border, pressing DELETE will delete the text inside the text box.
Press CTRL+A on your keyboard to select all the text within the document. Right-click, then click Toggle Field Codes. Press CTRL+SHIFT+F9 on your keyboard. This will remove the field codes, replacing them with the text they contained.
From the menu ribbon, click on the Home tab located to the right of the File tab. Within the Home tab, in the Font section, locate and click the Clear Formatting button which is an icon that appears with Aa and a diagonal eraser.
Ctrl+F9: Insert new Empty Field {} braces. Ctrl+Shift+F9: Unlink a field. Alt+F9: Toggle the display of a fields code.
