A common question we are asked is why EndNote has included author initials or first names in in-text citations. For some referencing styles, additional author information is included to distinguish between different citations where the first authors listed share the same surname or family name. Here you can see we have two references where initials have been included because the first authors listed both have the surname and EndNote is correctly displaying according to the requirements of the style. To amend this, you need to edit the references in EndNote so the authors name appears the same in each record. In your EndNote Library perform a quick search for the authors surname to identify all references which include that author. Open
