There are three Formula bar buttons available. A Cancel (X) and Enter (tick mark) and an insert function button (fx). Cancel button and tick mark are enabled only when you edit a cell.
=SUM(START:END! Name the first tab START and the second tab END. This formula will sum all A1 cells that are inbetween these two sheets. Both of these approaches will work with other common functions (ie =AVERAGE, =COUNT, =SUMIF, etc).
Click the cell that contains the data that you want to edit, and then click anywhere in the formula bar. This starts Edit mode and positions the cursor in the formula bar at the location that you clicked. Click the cell that contains the data that you want to edit, and then press F2.
To include text in your functions and formulas, surround the text with double quotes ().
Enter Data from the Formula Bar And once you are done with the value that you want to enter; you can click on the enter button that is on the left side of the formula bar. Theres also a button to cancel the data entry or you can press the escape key.
Either press Control + C or click the Copy button on the Home ribbon. Select all the cells to which you wish to copy the formula. You can select cells either by dragging the mouse or by using keyboard shortcuts. Either press Control + V or click the Paste button on the Home ribbon.
Drag the cells handle to the bottom of your data in the column. Click the small blue square at the bottom-right of the cell and drag it down across all the cells you want to apply the formula to. When you release the click, the formula from the first cell will be copied into every cell in your selection.
How to use Enter in Excel Select the cell you want to add a line break. Double-click on the area you want to add a line break. Press Alt with Enter on your keyboard. If youre using a keyboard with a different operating system, you can press Control, Option and Enter on your keyboard.
