hi my name is John Simek and Im the vice president of sensei enterprises encrypting Microsoft Word and docHub PDF documents is very simple for a word document password protecting the document will encrypt the contents of the file select a file tab from the ribbon and then info selection click on the protect the document button and then select the encrypt with password option type in a password and click OK thats all there is to encrypting a word document encrypting a PDF document is just as easy the simplest way is to protect the PDF with a password which will encrypt the file contents there are two ways to get to the dialog box where you set the password the first way is to select tools and then the protect button under the encrypt option select encrypt with password if prompted to apply new security settings to the document respond by clicking the yes button the encryption options are at the bottom of the dialog box encrypt all document contents is the preferred option check the box
