Using a permissions password, you can restrict printing, editing, and copying content in the PDF. Recipients dont need a password to open the document in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. They do need a password to change the restrictions youve set.
The file might have downloaded incorrectly or incompletely the first time. Use another printer. If your printer is on a wired or wireless network, print the PDF file from a non-networked printer. Move the PDF file to your computers hard drive, and then print again.
Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
To prevent printing of a PDF file, uncheck the Allow the document to be printed option. You must always enter a master password when security options are enabled or when a user password is set. It is recommended that passwords be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 number.
