One-click option to protect a PDF with a password Open the PDF in Acrobat. Do any of the following: Go to All tools Protect a PDF Protect with password. In the Protect Using Password dialog box, select if you want to set the password for viewing or editing the PDF. Type and retype your password. Select Apply.
The sender has an option when creating the agreement to set a specific password that is applied to the signed PDF document. This password is required to open and view the signed PDF file.
Steps to create a digital signature in docHub Open the PDF document in docHub. Click on the Tools tab in the top menu bar and select Fill Sign. Click Sign Yourself Add Signature. Drag and resize the signature so it appropriately fits in the document.
To keep your electronic signature safe, you should always protect the document from editing. Open the PDF document with docHub Pro/Reader DC or XI application. On the right side, click Protect to open the Protect options. Click on Protect Using Password option.
Using your devices web browser, visit the PDF editor website of your choice and follow these steps: Upload the PDF you want to sign. Use the toolbar to complete the fillable form and add your electronic signature. Rename and save the document. Download the completed form to your mobile device or get a shareable link.
To add a handwritten signature, sign your name in the box next to the X by using the inking feature. To use an image of your written signature, choose Select Image. From the Insert Pictures dialog box, pick a location of your signature image file, select the file, and then choose Select.
