You can use the cfpdfform tag inside the cfdocument tag to embed an existing interactive PDF form in a PDF document. This technique is useful to include additional information with a standard interactive form.
Open a PDF file that you wish to convert to PDF/A. Click File / Save As. The Save As Window appears. In the Save as Type dropdown menu at the bottom of the window, select PDF/A.

The PDF/A (or Portable Document Format Archival) is a format designed as a preservation format for digital records, particularly documents. The format, though, can also be used for scanned documents. It is an international standard and a subset of the PDF format.
PDF/A is a variation of the PDF format that ensures a document can be reproduced exactly the same way, regardless of what software is used.
To identify PDF/A files you may use the VNeeS checker which identifies non PDF/A compliant files in the validation report. An individual PDF/A document may also be identified as such through its PDF/A-specific metadata.
