today I want me to geek I will show you how to enter a timestamp into Microsoft Excel and were going to do right here in a1 were going to do a formula if b1 is not empty and if a1 is empty then do now which is date and time otherwise just leave a 1 as it is or if b1 is empty then leave a1 empty now this is a circular reference so we have to make some changes here in Excel what were going to do is click on file and then were going to go down to options and click on formulas and were going to enable iterative calculations and were going to change the maximum iterations to 1 and then if I put a value here in to b1 you can see it enters the date and time so thats how you do a time stamp in Microsoft Excel

When you embed an Excel object, information in the Word file doesnt change if you modify the source Excel file. Embedded objects become part of the Word file and, after they are inserted, they are no longer part of the source file.
Embed an object in a worksheet Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object . In the Object dialog box, click the Create from File tab. Click Browse, and select the file you want to insert.
Press Ctrl+G, the shortcut for the Go To dialog, then click Special Objects OK. This will select all objects on the active worksheet.
On the Insert tab, choose Spreadsheet Existing Excel Spreadsheet. Find and click the file you want to add, and choose Insert. Choose Insert Spreadsheet. Tip: If you want to embed just a table or chart from the spreadsheet, choose Insert a Chart or Table instead.
