In PowerPoint, select the slide that you want to add the file to, and then select Insert Object. In the Insert Object box, select Create from file, and then enter the PDF file location; or, click Browse, find the PDF file, and then select OK.
Insert a picture in PowerPoint Click where you want to insert the picture on the slide. On the Insert tab, in the Images group, click Pictures and then click This Device. In the dialog box that opens, browse to the picture that you want to insert, click that picture, and then click Insert.
Still, for certain purposes, embedding offers several advantages over links. First, users can transfer compound documents with embedded objects to other computers, or other locations on the same computer, without breaking a link. Second, users can edit embedded objects without changing the content of the original.
If you link the report to the worksheet, the data in the report can be updated whenever the source file is updated. If you embed the worksheet in the report, your report contains a static copy of the data.
Insert an embedded object Click in the slide where you want to place the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object. Do one of the following: If the object does not already exist, click Create new. Do one of the following: To display the content in your presentation, clear the Display as icon check box.
Embedding means that the data sheet will always be accessible for content edits by anyone who has the PowerPoint slide. This can be quite helpful if slides are being shared between users, computers, and offices. But be careful, because not only will the chart be embedded, but the entire Excel worksheet will as well.
When you embed a PowerPoint presentation object in your document, Word runs the PowerPoint slide show when you double-click the presentation object in the document. You cannot edit the presentation within the document. The presentation object can be embedded only, not linked.
Insert a PDF file as an object In PowerPoint, select the slide that you want to add the file to, and then select Insert Object. In the Insert Object box, select Create from file, and then enter the PDF file location; or, click Browse, find the PDF file, and then select OK.
