If you want the row and column headers always visible when you scroll through your worksheet, you can lock the top row and/or first column. Tap View Freeze Panes, and then tap the option you need.
On the Insert tab, click Header Footer. Excel automatically changes to Page Layout view. On Header Footer tab, click either the Header or Footer, and then select the page number format you want. Header page numbers appear at the top of the printed page, and footer page numbers appear at the bottom.
Adding Header or Footer to All Worksheets in Excel Right-click on the sheet tab at bottom of the window, and then select All Sheets. Click the Page Layout tab at the top of the worksheet. Click the small page set-up button at the bottom-right corner of the page set-up. Click the Header/Footer tab.
To create a dynamic header or footer, you first need to insert a placeholder where you want the information to appear. To do this, click on the Insert tab and then click on the Text Box button. A text box will appear on your worksheet.
To add a footer, scroll to the bottom of the page, select the section of the footer you want to add something to. On the Design tab, click an element, such as Page Number, click anywhere else on the worksheet, and page numbers now display in the footer. There are other elements on the Design tab, check them out.
From the View tab, Windows Group, click the Freeze Panes drop down arrow. Select either Freeze Top Row or Freeze First Column.
Heres how: Select Page Layout. Select the Page Setup launcher to open the Page Setup dialog box. In the dialog box, select the Header/Footer tab. Select your preset header from either the Header or Footer drop-down list. Select OK to close the dialog box. Use the Page Setup dialog box to set your headers and footers.
Heres how: On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header Footer. This will display the worksheet in Page Layout view and get the Design tab to appear. On the Design tab, in the Header Footer group, click the Header or Footer button, and select the built-in header or footer of your choosing.
