hi there for cad Microsystems Im Donna Clodfelter and in this video Id like to share how to import a CSV file as civil3d points so to help us guide this discussion I have as you might expect a CSV file and Im going to import into civil3d I think its important to start here since what were able to do is see how my data is structured if we take a look at this point file well see that the first number is the point number the second number I can tell from my coordinate is my anointing value the third number is my easting value the fourth number is my elevation and the final value here is my description so in this case I have what we refer to as a p4 point number in for more than E for easting Z or Z for elevation and D for description so conveniently civil3d has this exact format that will allow me to import it into civil3d so to begin this process what Im going to do is inside of civil3d switch over to the insert tab and from here under my import panel youre going to find a button
