Embedding images is a must when you transfer Illustrator files that contain images to other devices. Keep in mind that when an image is linked doesn't mean it's embedded. So, always do the extra steps to link your image(s). No broken links!
Definition: Embedding refers to the integration of links, images, videos, gifs and other content into social media posts or other web media. Embedded content appears as part of a post and supplies a visual element that encourages increased click through and engagement.
Here's how: Open Google Photos. Locate the image you wish to embed. Click the image to open it. Find the 'share' icon in the upper right hand side of the window. Click the 'create link' button. Copy the link and paste it to whichever location you wish.
Select your image in the Links Palette, click on the arrow in the top right corner of the palette and select “Embed” from the drop down menu. You will now see a box next to your image in the Links Palette. - This means that the image is embedded within your document.
Embedding is the other way to include artwork from another file in an Illustrator document. When you embed an image, a copy of the artwork is incorporated into your Illustrator document. You are not notified of any changes to the original, and the only way to update is to replace the placed image.
Embedding an image in Illustrator means inserting it into a document as if it were a graphic object. Once the image is embedded, you can use the Object tools to manipulate it, the Properties panel to set properties, the Paths and Expressions tools to create paths and text, and the Layer tools to add or delete layers.
Here's how it's done in three easy steps: Copy the URL of the image you wish to insert. Next, open your index. html file and insert it into the img code. Example: Save the HTML file. The next time you open it, you'll see the webpage with your newly added image.
