The HTML service can display a dialog or sidebar in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Forms if your script is container-bound to the file.
Open the Google Doc you want to save/export. Click the File menu. Choose Download as. Select the file type that you want to download.
If you have enabled Markdown for Google Docs, you can also insert a code block by typing ``` and pressing Enter.
