Verify that: The document is not too large for your email server. Typically, email servers might refuse attachments bigger than 10-15 MB. You have a good network connection.
Open your Gmail account with your web browser or email application. Click the Compose button to create a new email. Click the Attach button (the paperclip) and select the scanned document from your computer or mobile. Alternatively, drag and drop the file into the body of the email (desktop only).
Typically, email servers might refuse attachments bigger than 10-15 MB. You have a good network connection. If the document is more than a few pages, it might take a long time or fail if your network connection isnt at 4G or Wi-Fi.
Sending a PDF as an attachment is not the only way to deliver the file to the intended recipient. Another option is to embed it directly into the body of the email. This increases the chances of the recipient noticing the embedded file since it appears inside the email.
Go to the Insert option. Click the Attach File button on the upper left side in the email composition window to embed PDF in Outlook email. Browse your PDF file or upload it from OneDrive, select the file you want to embed, and hit Open. It will embed your PDF file as an attachment.
How to scan a document to email on Windows Connect your scanner (or multifunctional printer) to your device. Scan and save your documents. Right-click your chosen documents, then choose Send to. Choose your recipients email address and write a new email for the files to attach to.
It is possible that the SMTP servers IP address and/or port number have not been configured correctly or the SMTP server may be experiencing trouble. Action: From the machine side, test the connection with the SMTP server and confirm that the SMTP servers IP address and port number have been correctly configured.
Internet connection on your device is not stable. Try connecting to another WiFi network. The scans you try to send are too large for your email server (You can see the size of your scans in the description at the top of the Share menu). Typically, email servers might refuse attachments bigger than 10-15 MB.
