How to scan a document to email on Windows Connect your scanner (or multifunctional printer) to your device. Scan and save your documents. Right-click your chosen documents, then choose Send to. Choose your recipients email address and write a new email for the files to attach to.
If youre using an Android, the best way to scan documents is through the Google Drive app. You can scan documents directly into Google Drive by tapping the + button in the lower-right corner of the home screen.
Attach the scanned document to the email by clicking the Attach or Paperclip icon in your email client. Choose the scanned document file from your computer and attach it to the email. Enter the recipients email address and any other necessary information. Send the email.
Once inside the file manager, you can navigate to the Downloads, Scans, Images, or Documents folder to look for scanned documents​ depending on where you expect the document to be. For example, if you used your camera it might be under photos but if it is a PDF file it might be under documents.
Via Gmail Scan the document using a scanning device. Save the scanned document to your computer. Open your Gmail account with your web browser or email application. Click the Compose button to create a new email. Click the Attach button (the paperclip) and select the scanned document from your computer or mobile.
Open File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon on your taskbar. In the navigation pane on the left, click on This PC or Quick Access. From there, navigate to either the Documents or Pictures folder. These folders are commonly used by scanning software as default save locations.
