In the Chrome browser, select the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner. Choose Settings Advanced Privacy and security. Select Site Settings PDF documents. Use the toggle switch next to Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome to turn the feature on and off.
In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher . Open Files . Select the file or folder you want to delete. Select Trash .
Go to apps and features and select default apps. Look down the list for pdf and change the app to the one of your choice. You might be able to right click a pdf file in file explorer and select open with then your preferred pdf reader, be sure to select always use this app.
Once all the files have moved to the Trash, select Trash from the right menu, then select Empty trash now to delete the files. You will receive a warning that you will Permanently delete these files. Select Delete forever to permanently delete the files.
Factory reset your Chromebook Sign out of your Chromebook. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r. Select Restart. In the box that appears, select Powerwash. Continue. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account. Once youve reset your Chromebook:
Deleting PDFs To quickly find a PDF, search for the filename in Windows or macOS. Then navigate to the found folder, right-click the PDF file, and choose Delete (Windows) or Move to Trash (macOS).
Deleted files are stored in your Chromebooks recycle bin, called the Trash folder. Even though they are stored in the Trash, they only stay there for 30 days before they are permanently deleted. Chromebooks do this, so you have time to change your mind without using too much of your devices storage.
Uninstall an app Right-click the app you want to remove. Select Uninstall or Remove from Chrome. Select Uninstall.
