welcome back to another shotcut video editing tutorial in this video well be adding text as a text overlay on top of our video and also adding text title screens Im actually remaking this video the last one I made I was having issues with shotcut crashing when I was trying to do some of the animation and like animating text having an move on the screen the the reason was as someone pointed out on YouTube I was using an outdated version so the version Im using now is the latest version the nice thing about open source software is its always continually being updated and so hopefully I havent Im actually just remaking this for the first time I havent tested to see if the bugs are fixed but hopefully we dont have that same crashing issue we were having last time so to add text its actually a filter so we bring a video into our timeline while its selected in red we just click Add and its a video filter its just called text and that adds some text by default it adds the timecod
