Dependencies import { Component, OnInit } from @angular/ core; let resizebase64 = require(resize-base64); export class AppComponent implements OnInit { name = Resize Base 64; orignalBase64 = data:image/png;base64, iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAABTgAAAGxCAYAAABGGdn4. Video encoding is the process of compressing videos for smaller sizes and playback delivery. Transcoding is the process of re-encoding video files into different formats.
NodeJS Resize() is an inbuilt function that is used to resize the images to the desired size. We can use resize to set the height and width using a 2-pass bilinear algorithm. It can resize an image into any size as declared by the user.
base64-encoded data doesnt compress well, it is 2 times larger than the unencoded compressed file. base64-then-compress is docHubly worse and slower than compress-then-base64.
The only available options for resizing images in Angular is to either restrict the image size before upload or leave the resizing to client devices, both of which may not be ideal for web performance or your business requirements.
Although Base64 is a relatively efficient way of encoding binary data it will, on average still increase the file size for more than 25%. This not only increases your bandwidth bill, but also increases the download time.

Encoded size increase This means that the Base64 version of a string or file will be at least 133% the size of its source (a ~33% increase). The increase may be larger if the encoded data is small.
