How to Edit a PDFs Metadata in 3 Steps With the PDF file you want to inspect open in Power PDF, click File and find the Info tab. Under Properties, click Advanced Properties. The PDF metadata dialog box opens. Add, edit, or manually remove any of the metadata displayed.
PDF files retain some basic file description metadata, such as author, file name, and date, which can be minimized if the proper conversion settings are used (see page 31).
Navigate to Info Click on Properties Double click on Advanced Properties. You should see a properties dialog box appear. You can then proceed to amend the document metadata such as the Title, author, etc.
Locate and click on Description. This will display the PDF metadata. Like Acrobat, youll see options to edit or delete the metadata. To delete it, simply press Delete or Back on your keyboard.
Right-click the author name, and then click Edit Property. Type a new name in the Edit person dialog box.
