welcome to OpenOffice video I am Martin and in this video I will show you how to add page numbers to a writer document but not have them appear on the first page which was a question by one of our viewers its actually a very good one because usually you want a document to start with a title page or front page or something like that and you dont want a page number to show up on that page first well add a page sherman just like before insert header all of course you would usually want its possible to do it in a header but we want a footer footer of course and now I click insert fields page number well just put it just like before on the right side and then we click on this one with the right mouse button and well go to fields here you have the page number and you can change all kinds of layouts to it but what were after today is the offset because this is where the page numbering starts usually it starts at zero which is the beginning of the document but if you want the first firs
