Hello, Im Chris Menard. Microsoft PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 has a great update coming out. Youll soon be able to edit your speaker notes while youre presenting in slideshow view. You can always edit your notes when youre not in slideshow view. Im on slide one and down below here, my speaker notes, and Im sure you already know this, but you can resize your speaker note panel while youre in here working. There is slide two. Two notes for me down below. And here is slide number three. So Im going to go ahead and start the slideshow, either the F5 function key will start it or you can go to Slideshow, From beginning, and theres also an icon in the bottom right-hand corner, you can click. Im going to just go to Slideshow, From beginning, and it even shows you the F5 function key. So Im in slideshow right now. I only have one monitor running. If I had two, I could see my speaker notes on the second monitor, but Ive got one monitor running. So I wan

If you make changes to your notes master, some or all of your slides may not update their content to match the changes. You need to right-click the slide while in Notes View and choose Notes Layout followed by Reapply master. Amazingly, there is no way to reapply the master to all slides at once.
Method One: Directly edit in slide editing mode (aka Normal View). Click the notes section of the window and begin typing. If the notes are hidden, click the Notes button found in options on the bottom right of the PowerPoint screen. Method Two: Edit your notes in Notes View.
Click the notes section of the window and begin typing. If the notes are hidden, click the Notes button found in options on the bottom right of the PowerPoint screen. Method Two: Edit your notes in Notes View. Click on the View tab in the ribbon and click Notes Page.
Im thrilled to share that you can now edit notes in Presenter view in PowerPoint for Windows. No more switching to Editor view to type or change your notes, even during a presentation!
Unlock a Read-Only Presentation Next to the yellow banner message will be a button that reads Edit Anyway. Click that button to unlock the PowerPoint. The yellow bar should disappear along with the Read-Only text that appeared after the presentation title. Your PowerPoint will now be editable.
Select the PowerPoint slide/s containing locked shape(s) you need to unlock, then click Unlock objects (Found beneath the Lock Object icon on the PPT Productivity Ribbon).
The most likely answer is that someone placed the items on the slide master or one of the layouts. Only placeholders on a master or layout are editable on the slides. Select the problem slide, then choose ViewSlide Master. The layout for the slide will appear.
On the VIEW tab, in the Master Views group, click Handout Master. This opens the HANDOUT MASTER tab. On the page, click in a text placeholder (Header, Footer, Date or Page Number) to make your changes.
Notes Area on Notes Page. The box located on the bottom half of the page is the Notes area, and this box contains the same notes that are available within the Notes pane of Normal view. You can also add notes and edit them here, and all changes made here show within the Notes pane of Normal view, and vice versa.
Edit the Notes Master While in Notes Master view, select the notes placeholders you want to use. Click Notes Page Orientation and select an option. Make any additional changes to the Notes Master. Click the Close Master View button.
