Select one or more cells that have a border that you want to change. Right-click over the cells youve chosen and select Format Cells and, in the popup window, click the Border tab. For a continuous line, choose one of the thicker styles from the Line box.
Select the worksheets for which you want to change the gridline color. Click File Excel Options. In the Advanced category, under Display options for this worksheet, make sure that the Show gridlines check box is selected. In the Gridline color box, click the color you want.
You can put multiple lines in a cell with pressing Alt + Enter keys simultaneously while entering texts. Pressing the Alt + Enter keys simultaneously helps you separate texts with different lines in one cell. With this shortcut key, you can split the cell contents into multiple lines at any position as you need.
Right-click on any selected cell and choose Delete row from the context menu or just press Ctrl + - (minus sign). Click OK in the Delete entire sheet row? dialog box. Clear the applied filter: go to the Data tab and press the Clear button. Well done!

Removing the Gridlines Oftentimes, people confuse the gridlines to be dotted lines and want them removed. To remove gridlines from your Excel sheet, navigate to the View tab. Under the Show section, uncheck the checkbox for Gridlines. Once you uncheck it, all the gridlines in the sheet disappear.
Remove all cell borders Select the cell or range of cells where you want to remove the borders. On the Home tab, under Font, click Border. , and then click No Border.
Click the location inside the cell where you want to break the line or insert a new line and press Alt+Enter.
Please ensure you are in Normal view. To check, click the sheet tab on which you have this issue, click View tab on the ribbon and check if Normal is selected in the Workbook Views group. Try deleting/ inserting rows/columns again.
All you need to do is select that cell (you may have to select the cells around it as well). At the top (the ribbon), make sure that the Home tab is selected and click on Fill Color drop down arrow and select No Fill. That should fix your issue. Was this reply helpful?
