So I want to quickly talk about how to replace all the fonts on all of your PowerPoint slides. I want to talk about where it works, where it doesnt work, and most importantly, how to fix bad fonts from continuing to show up within your presentation. So even after I had fixed my fonts in a number of my decks, I was still getting these bad fonts. So I do want to make the point that just because you replace fonts within your presentation, and Ill show you where this is in PowerPoint in a second, does not mean all right? Does not mean that bad fonts wont continue to show up unless you fix it. So Im going to help you out with that as well. But first off, this is what I was working with. I just come into PowerPoint. The most likely answer is that someone placed the items on the slide master or one of the layouts. Only placeholders on a master or layout are editable on the slides. Select the problem slide, then choose ViewSlide Master. The layout for the slide will appear.
Check font file properties Open File Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Fonts. Find the font that you used in your presentation (e.g., Lobster Regular). Right-click the font and select Properties. Remove the Read-only attribute if its checked, and then click OK.
To solve this issue: Click the Replace drop-down arrow, located on the Home tab, in the Editing group, and choose Replace Fonts. Under Replace, choose the font you want to replace, and under With select the new font that youll use. Once youre done, click Replace to apply the changes.
Change the default font in PowerPoint Click View Slide Master. On the Slide Master tab, click the Fonts drop-down menu. Select the font you want to use for all the slides in the presentation. Click Close Master View. The text throughout your presentation is automatically updated to the new font.
Unlock a Read-Only Presentation Next to the yellow banner message will be a button that reads Edit Anyway. Click that button to unlock the PowerPoint. The yellow bar should disappear along with the Read-Only text that appeared after the presentation title. Your PowerPoint will now be editable.

Select the text you want to change. Go to Home More Font Options Change case. Choose the case you want to use.
Click PowerPoint in the menu bar and select Preferences (or alternatively hold ⌘ + ,). Click Save, in the middle-left. Below the Font Embedding heading, make sure that Embed fonts in the file is unchecked.
Select the PowerPoint slide/s containing locked shape(s) you need to unlock, then click Unlock objects (Found beneath the Lock Object icon on the PPT Productivity Ribbon). The file will close momentarily and reopen (you need to first save your document to a local drive).
Click View Slide Master. On the Slide Master tab, click the Fonts drop-down menu. Select the font you want to use for all the slides in the presentation.
