If you were to print a copy of your document, and ask a friend to proofread it, theyd probably mark the errors in red pen, and write any suggestions they had in the margins. Wouldnt it be easier if you could do that electronically? In Word, you canusing two features called Track Changes and Comments. Im going to turn on track changes right now so I can show you what I mean. To do this, go to the Review tab then click the Track Changes command. Now any changes I make to the document will appear as markup, which is Words answer to the traditional red pen. For example, when I delete text, it doesnt go away it just gets crossed out. When I add more text, it gets underlined. This lets the owner of the document see what changes Ive made before making them part of the final draft. You can also add comments in the margins by selecting the text you want to comment on then clicking the New Comment command. Anyone who can see your post can see a full history of its edits. All they have to do is click the gray text that reads Edited at the bottom of your comment, just to the left of the Like button. I poked around on Facebook to find a quick example of an edited post and found this comment by a woman named Pamela J.
Once a public post is edited, everyone will be able to see its revision history. Facebook Page authors and admins are also able to edit posts on a Page. Though anyone can see the posts revision history after it was posted, only other authors and admins can see edits made before the post was published.
See changes that have been made Step 1: Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the post. Step 2: Tap View edit history. Note: If the post doesnt have an edit history, you wont see this option. This will take you to a screen where you can view changes that have been made to the post since it was shared.
At this point when the friend logs in again there should be a notification stating a post was edited. Apart from this scenario (and any others yet to be found) there is no official way (until a Facebook help section about it appears) to validate the precise conditions a notification does appear when a post is edited.

Sometimes we dont pay attention when commenting on a Facebook post. For this reason, you might notice a grammatical error or an inappropriate phrase after posting the comment. If you want to rephrase a comment or change/remove a phrase in a comment after posting it on Facebook, you can edit the comment.
No, editing a Facebook comment does not send out additional notifications. The only notification that is sent is the one when the original comment was made.
Anyone who can see the post can see a history of any edits made after the post was published. Only people who work on your Page can see who made the edits.
