For most artwork, 300 dpi is preferred. Most printers produce excellent output from images set at 300 ppi.
If you just want to show it on the internet and on social media, a good canvas size for digital art is a minimum of 2000 pixels on the long side, and 1200 pixels on the short side. This will look good on most modern phones and pc monitors.
Basic Requirements for Digital Art To ensure a quality reproduction of a continuous-tone image, the file must have resolution of at least 300ppi (pixels per inch). For example, a continuous-tone image with dimensions of 900 x 1500 pixels can be reproduced no larger than 3 x 5.
Pixel sizes: Use around 500-1000 pixels for little easy paintings where the final quality doesnt matter (e.g. sketches, stuff youre just going to post online) Use 2000-5000 pixels a side for the stuff you might quite like to print, or want to turn into a Proper Painting and need some decent detail for.
For most artwork, 300 dpi is preferred. Most printers produce excellent output from images set at 300 ppi.
Set the dpi to minimum 300 for clean printed results. Dpi refers to dots per inch (25.4mm). ※Caution: when requesting a printing shop to print your artwork, make sure to be aware of your dpi and size.
If your image is from an original drawing that was scanned and opened in docHub Photoshop, make sure that the resolution is 1200 dpi, which is standard because it creates the sharpest and most professional print quality finish.
It depends, in fact, on what you are printing and what material is used. A higher resolution might be needed for glossy photos or images with lots of details that need to be crisp. Then 600 DPI could be a better option. At the same time, a lower value, for example, 100 dots per inch, should be enough for a poster.
By setting your draft resolution to 600 dpi, fine lines, curves, and screen tones of your drafts can be printed beautifully. Open the New Canvas window, and tap the A4 Canvas ①[Resolution] option. Select the ②[A4 600dpi] option.
Standard resolution for a printed image is 300 ppi. This means that when youre printing a 46, you should have 12001800 pixels. Resolution has great bearing on whether or not your print turns out looking professional. Again, this is something to be cognizant of when starting a new project.
