In the Preview app on your Mac, click the Show Markup Toolbar button (if the Markup toolbar isnt showing). Use the tools in the toolbar to mark up the image (or use the Touch Bar).
Using Markup Shapes, simply clicking the line segment icon drops a straight line into the PDF. Alternatively, you can press the command key while selecting the Sketch tool and any wiggly drawn line segment will snap to a straight line.
Open the file in Preview by default, or control-click the file and choose Preview. Click Show Markup Toolbar. Click the Draw icon.
Add lines and arrows in Pages on Mac Click. in the toolbar, then in the Basic category, click a line. Options include a straight line with or without endpoints, or a line with editing points to create a curved line. Click to select an existing line on a page.
How to Draw on PDF Free on Mac Import PDF File. Free download PDFgear, and open your PDF document with PDFgear. Open a PDF File. Open the Annotate Tab. Click on the Annotate tool in the toolbar, this will open the drawing tools. Draw on the PDF. Use your mouse or trackpad to draw or add annotations to the PDF.
To draw a line in preview go to the Tools menu and select Annotate. Under the Annotate option is an option for a line. This will put a single line on your page. You might have hit rectangle instead on line.
