when youre running any type of restaurant bar or other establishment beer is very important and how it is deliver is important and thats where draught comes into play last thing you want is a bunch of angry thirsty customers in many establishments what youll find is they have a direct trawl system or thats a keg box that would be mounted underneath the bar and would feed directly up into a tower or faucet some of the advantages of that would be that you have a keg right here you have a short draw system and youre not going to have a lot of waste because this pour is pulling directly up into the faucet if you have a long draw system the first component youll see is going to be the power pack basically what a power pack is a refrigeration unit that houses glycol and glycol is food grade antifreeze so what it does is it pumps this glycol out of this frozen bath all the way up to the tower and then back again to make sure that the beer stays super cold from back to front and it also

If the brewer is using a blend, and the nitrogen content is too high, that may mean that too little CO2 is being used or that the pressure is too low, which can prevent beer from coming out of the tapor cause the beer to pour flat.
If youre using 3/16 beverage line, somewhere between 8 and 10 feet should work. I would start with 10, and trim it down a bit if necessary. The balance doesnt need to be exact to get a good pour; you have some leeway.
How to Clean the Lines Run a cleaning solution through the draft line under pressure until the flow runs clear. Wait while the solution soaks in the lines. Run clean water through the draft line under pressure to flush out the cleaner. Tap the next keg. Open the faucet and let it run until beer comes out.
If you are using a direct draw setup (such as a kegerator/keg fridge) you will have to make sure you have some resistance in your system. Resistance can be created several ways but the easiest is just to increase the length of the beer line. 5mm ID beer line the length should be about 3-4.5 meters.
To achieve balance with your beer at 12 PSI, use 4 feet of 3/16 tubing (4 feet x 3 PSI per foot = 12 pounds of total restriction). For beer at 15 PSI, you would use 5 feet of 3/16 ID tubing. 1/4 tubing has a much lower restriction than 3/16, at . 85 pounds of restriction per foot.
Another issue is that your keg may have a gas leak, so not as much co2 is being absorbed into the beer as should be. Gas can only leak from the regulator, an unsealed lid, or the beer and gas posts. Check these by spraying no rinse sanitiser on them if bubbles start forming, youve got a leak.
Lines that are too long or too thin, or both, will slow the flow of beer down too much, and knock too much co2 out of solution before it docHubes the tap. So, as you pour, your beer will be less carbonated than it is in the keg.
Generally, youll have at least eight hours to finish the keg before the beer starts to taste stale. If youre lucky, you may get a full day out of it before it goes completely stale. It all depends on the type of beer and how much oxygen was pumped into it.
