What Are Beer Lines? A beer line is a tube. Usually, a vinyl hose carries draft beer from the keg to the tap handle in a draft beer dispensing system. Beer lines are typically made of stainless steel, vinyl, XFM, and barrier tubing.
In any draft system, youve got six main components: cooler, keg, coupler, gas, tubing, and faucetit can get more complex, but thats the basic setup.
How often should you replace your beer lines? Well, about once a year is fine as long as you keep up with your cleaning. Recirculating BLC through your lines once every two weeks should do a good job of keeping them clean. Alternating with an acidic sanitizer like Star San will also help.
Draftline is a beer line cleaning chemical for draft beer equipment, Its very effective for removing organic contaminants. Draftline contains chemicals and should be used with caution. Always use protective equipment. Draftline consists of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 30%, and surfactants.

Draft beer dispensers, sometimes referred to as direct draw beer dispensers, enable the pouring of fresh pints directly from a keg. They provide a simple and cost-effective alternative to larger and longer draw systems, which are ideal for establishments where space is limited and beer isnt the sole focus.
Any draft system requires pressurized gas to propel beer from the keg to the faucet. When this pressurized gas is pushed into the keg through the coupler, it forces the beer out into the beer line where it eventually travels up to the tap so you can pour a pint on demand.
Follow these steps: Keep the tank upright at all times. Attach the beer line to the keg coupler, placing a rubber washer at the connection point. Attach the gas line to the CO2 regulator output barb and tighten screw clamp. Connect the other end of the gas line to the keg coupler and tighten screw clamp.
