hello my name is Jamison and Im an in-house lab technician for impact networking today Im going to be walking through a common issue that you might have with your fax line first thing youre going to do is make sure that the fax is working on the machine youre gonna touch the fax button and touch the on hook button on the top if you touch the on hook button and you dont hear anything youre gonna want to go to the back of the machine and make sure the phone cord is plugged into the line port and not the phone port once you do that if you touch the on hook button again youll hear a modem noise and if youre having issues with receiving a fax from a sender what you can do is simply pull out your phone and dial the fax number for your machine if you hear that same modem noise you know its okay on your end I hope this was helpful in resolving your fax issue you
