The Display Log (DSPLOG) command shows the system history log (QHST). The history log contains information about the operation of the system and the current system status. The display contains the messages sent to the log, the date and time the message was sent, and the name of the job that sent it.
The Db2 diagnostic (db2diag) log files are files that contain text information logged by Db2 database systems. This information is used for troubleshooting and much of it is primarily intended for IBM Software Support.
The job log, which is a record of job-related information for the programmer. The job log consists of: The job control statements in the input stream, that is, the JCL statements and JES2 or JES3 statements. Cataloged procedure statements for any procedure a job step calls.
Use the WRKACTJOB command, type option 5 next to the job, then option 10 to see the job log. After the job ends, you can find the job log as a spooled file in the output queue QEZJOBLOG. The AS/400 command WRKOUTQ QEZJOBLOG will show the list of files in the queue.
If you are using TSO-ISPF then go to ISPF main menu and open SDSF. Enter st(job status) to open spool. find the job by s userid or s job name. select the job and you can check Sysout, Sysprint.
To display jobs with more than a specified amount of spool space or space on specific spool volumes, use the $D JOBQ,SPOOL= command. See also the $MSPL, $T SPOOL, $S SPOOL, $T SPOOLDEF commands.
Locating DB2 diagnostic log files Log in as the server user instance. Issue the following command: db2 get dbm cfg | grep DIAGPATH. If no path is specified in the DIAGPATH configuration parameter, the diagnostic data directory is in the sqllib/db2dump subdirectory of your instance directory.
A job log contains information related to requests entered for a job. A job log has two forms, a pending form and a spooled form. In its pending form, a job log for a completed job can change as other jobs (the subsystem, the system operator, and so on) interact with the completed job.
To list tables run the following commands: db2. connect to list tables for schema db2 = connect to TBSMHIST. Database Connection Information. Database server = DB2/LINUXX8664 9.7.0. SQL authorization ID = DB2INST1. db2 = list tables for schema TBSMHISTORY. Table/View Schema Type Creation time.
