The easiest and quickest way to remove dotted lines due to page breaks in Excel is by closing and reopening the sheet. If you dont want to close the sheet, navigate to File OptionsAdvanced. Under Display options for this worksheet, uncheck the checkbox for Show Page Breaks.
Remove them by selecting the File tab at the top of the screen. Then, navigate to Options, located in the menu on the left. Click Advanced and scroll down to Display options for this worksheet. Uncheck the box next to the Show page breaks option.
Select the paragraph(s) containing the bullets or numbers you want to remove. To remove the bullets or numbers from all paragraphs in the column, select the whole column by clicking just outside the column border. On the Home tab, click Bullets. To remove bullets, on the Bullets tab, select None.
When you have a spreadsheet formatted to print, page breaks are represented horizontally by lines. In the current version of Excel for Office 365, a manually added page break shows as a solid horizontal line, while automatically generated page breaks show as dotted lines.
This shows you all the page breaks in your document. Page breaks Excel added automatically should appear as dotted lines. Ones that you added manually should look like solid lines. You cant get rid of the automatic page breaks, but you can delete the ones youve added yourself.
Here is a better way to remove these dotted lines: Click on the File tab. Click on Options. In the Excel Options dialog box that opens, click on the Advanced option in the left pane. Scroll down to the section Display options for this worksheet Uncheck the option Show page breaks
