Today on this Tiny Tip Tuesday, we are talking about the differences between an abstract and a transcription. Im also going to show you how to go from an original to a transcription to an abstract. To look at the differences between a transcript and an abstract lets take a look at the definitions. A transcript is an exact copy of a record word-for-word preserving the original capitalization punctuation and spelling. An abstract is a condensed version of a record preserving all of the important details in the original sequence which is important. So this is a three-step process to go from document to abstract. To use line numbers in Word, you must be in Print Layout view. Go to the View tab and click Print Layout in the Views section of the ribbon. Next, insert the numbers by heading to the Layout tab. Click the Line Numbers button in the Page Setup section of the ribbon.
Remove Line Numbers in Word Select None to remove the line numbers from the entire document. Select Suppress for Current Paragraph to remove the numbering for a particular paragraph (where your cursor is located).
Continuous: By selecting Continuous, line numbers will be added onto every page within the document. The line numbers will be in ascending order as you go down the document, and the sequence will continue into other pages.
Customize Line Numbers On the Layout tab, click the Line Numbers button. Select Line Numbering Options. The Page Setup dialog box opens. Click the Line Numbers button. Change the options to customize your line numbers and click OK. Click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.

Edit text - change, replace, or delete text Choose Tools Edit PDF Edit . The dotted outlines identify the text and images you can edit. Select the text you want to edit. Edit the text by doing one of the following: Click outside the selection to deselect it and start over.
Deleting Markups From the Select Zoom toolbar, select the Hand Tool. Right-click the markup you wish to delete select Delete. Select the markup and press [Delete]. The markup is deleted.
