Insert or delete a column Select any cell within the column, then go to Home Insert Insert Sheet Columns or Delete Sheet Columns. Alternatively, right-click the top of the column, and then select Insert or Delete.
Under Content Types, click the name of the content type you want to remove. Note: If the list or library has not been set up to allow multiple content types, the Content Types section does not appear on the Customize page for the list or library. Under Settings, click Delete this content type.

Note: Lists and libraries contain required columns that cant be deleted, such as the Title or Name. If the column cant be deleted, the Delete button is not available. To hide the column, select the column header, then Column settings and then Hide this column.
