The witness receives an email notification asking them to witness the document. The message from the signer is included on the email and shown as a private message presented with the document. A witness signature is a type of notarial act permitted in numerous states. The signer must personally come before the notary to witness their signature, and they must present an adequate ID. The document must then be signed by the signer in the presence of the notary, who subsequently adds the necessary notarial text.
Youre going through the process of filling out paperwork with them, but youd rather not email them a document and have them sign it through their email. With In Person Signing, you can have them electronically sign the document right there and then.
