in this video I want to show you how we can add a watermark to a chart in Excel or PowerPoint as in the chart that youre seeing on the screen right now we start in PowerPoint but because were going to create the watermark itself in PowerPoint and then save it as an image to use behind as the background of the chart so heres an example here this is a text box that I have created earlier which is just simply text that has been formatted into a medium gray and rotated 45 degrees so its very easy to create that you just simply add a text box in PowerPoint usually make it bigger about 32 point and we can write lets say confidential in this case and make it bold what I tend to do is to choose not the dark black which is the default color but usually one of these medium to darker Grays and then the standard seems to be for watermarks is to rotate them 45 degrees counterclockwise so the easy way to do that in PowerPoint is before you grab that rotation handle hold the shift key down on

For a text watermark use WordArt (which is what a Text watermark uses from the Watermark dialog). For graphics I would probably use PNG format if available, or failing that JPG.
