welcome so all right ladies dont so when im looking at a transformation or when im looking at graphing a logarithmic equation or a logarithmic function i always want to be able to determine exactly what my transformations are so in this case i have y equals 4 log base 2 of x minus 3. so we understand that we have x minus 3 so by applying the transformations of a function we know that the graph is going to shift 3 units to the right all right so thats going to be very helpful in understanding you know how our graph is going to be shifting along and this 4 and 2 thats going to just affect how the graph is going to be increasing or decreasing so to graph this what im going to do is im going to want to graph the parent function with no transformation and then im going to want to graph the function with transformations so to graph the primary function without transformations im going to have y equals 4 log base 2 of x all right now to graph this again we can set up a table of valu
