Create endnotes Place the insertion point where you want the endnote reference number to appear. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Insert Endnote. Choose Type Insert Endnote. Type the endnote text.
Place your cursor in the text and right-click. Select Insert Footnote and type your footnote text. A reference number is placed in the text and your footnote appears at the bottom of the text frame. If created in the latest version of InDesign, your footnote will span all columns of a text frame automatically.
Reference Point moves on objects when one object on page is rotated. Indesign 2019 (14.0. 1) If one (or more) objects on a page is rotated, then the reference point on other objects on the page changes as you select through the different objects.

Using the Type tool, click where you want to place the note, and choose Type Notes New Note. When editing in Story Editor, bookends appear. In Layout view, the Notes panel appears. Type your note between the note bookends, or type your note in the Notes panel.
Choose Type Hyperlinks Cross-References Insert Cross-Reference. Choose Window Type Tables Cross-References, and then choose Insert Cross-Reference from the panel menu. Click the Create New Cross-Reference button in the panel.
