hi heres a tutorial for reinforced concrete column design designed to uh the eurocode 2 thats ec2 i have a column its 350 wide and 400 deep its um float floor height in the building its situated in its 3200 but its got some deep beams on either side and heres the standard data its got 32 newton concrete 500 newton bars im assuming that there are 25 mil main bars in the column thats the longitudinal bars running up vertically through the column and 88 ties im taking 45 mug cover and as with most columns it carries a large compressive force its got an axial load of 2464 kilo newtons applied to the top and its got a bending moment around its strong axis of 94 kilonewton meters im assuming that the bending is running around this axis thats thats the way that the bending is is working okay so the first thing i want to do is i want to calculate the clear height of the column thats because i make use of that a little later on in the calculations so the clear height of the
