- [Jon] Welcome to Excel Campus. My name is Jon and in this video Im going to explain how to add a Table of Contents to your workbook that updates automatically. So here we have a simple Table of Contents sheet at the front of our workbook with clickable links to each sheet in the workbook. And whenever I make changes to the tabs in this workbook, whether I add or delete sheets or I rename a sheet, I want this Table of Contents to automatically update. And I have a macro that does this. Ill quickly show how it works. So if I just make a copy of this sheet here, left click and hold, hold down the control key and drag this to the right I now have a duplicate copy. Remove Duplicates (2), and then when I click the Table of Contents sheet my macro will run to automatically update my Table of Contents, and we can see that sheet has been added right here. So lets jump over to the VB Editor and see how this macro works. Developer tab, Visual Basic button, keyboard shortcut is Alt F11. So I

Request Early Release: If there is a reason a check is unlikely to bounce, you can request an early release of your money. An example would be a payroll or reimbursement check from your employer.
Some banks or credit unions may make funds available more quickly than the law requires, and some may expedite funds availability for a fee. If you need the money from a particular check, you can ask the teller when the funds will become available.
Generally, a bank must make the first $225 from the deposit availablefor either cash withdrawal or check writing purposesat the start of the next business day after the banking day that the deposit is made. The rest of the deposit should generally be available on the second business day.
Deposit holds typically range from 2-7 business days, depending on the reason for the hold. For deposits made on weekends, funds are considered deposited on Monday (the first business day), so the hold will go into effect the next business day (Tuesday).
A night cycle, created in 1979, is used to process Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers (debits and credits) at nightgenerally between 10:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). The ACH is a nationwide system for transferring money electronically that is sometimes referred to as the nighttime window.
Banks generally post deposits before withdrawals. However, the law does not require this. In addition, banks may establish a cut-off time for deposits made at a branch or through an automated teller machine (ATM). Deposits made after that time may be treated as having been made on the following business day.
Each bank has different rules, but you can expect most direct deposits to hit your bank account at midnight. This is because some financial institutions update their accounts a few hours after midnight.
Removing a hold on a bank account When figuring out how to remove a hold on a bank account, you can often contact your bank and find out what caused the hold. If it was a pre-authorization hold placed by a merchant on a debit card transaction, you might be able to contact them directly and have them remove it.
Contact Your Bank You can ask your bank to provide an explanation for the hold or sometimes even to release the hold. In most cases, you wont be able to do anything about the hold though, and because all banks have them, you cant switch banks to avoid them either.
The hold allows us (and the bank paying the funds) time to validate the check which can help you avoid potential fees in the event a deposited check is returned unpaid. Keep in mind, though, that a check may still be returned unpaid after funds have been made available to you.
