To delete one contact: Open the Contacts app. Touch the persons name. Touch Delete and confirm the deletion.

Look for the option to enable Backup to Google Drive and toggle it on. This will automatically back up your devices app data, call history, contacts, device settings, and more to your Google Drive account.
Back up sync device contacts by saving them as Google contacts: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app. Tap Google. Settings for Google apps. Turn on Automatically back up sync device contacts. Pick the account youd like your contacts to be saved in.
