If you receive the error message cant delete font because its in use you can fix the problem by unchecking the details pane in the fonts folder of the control panel. If that doesnt work you will need to go into the Registry Editor and delete the font file directly.
Manage Fonts on iPhone and iPad To remove a font you dont want to keep, tap the Edit link at the screen of installed fonts, select the font, and then tap Remove. Alternatively, tap the name of the font and then tap Remove.
In the Font Book app on your Mac, select one or more fonts, press Delete, then click Remove. Click Remove Fonts or Remove Non-System Fonts to confirm. Removed fonts are moved to the Trash.
