Jeff explains how to delete box symbols in Microsoft Word. Sometimes while typing, you may get a square symbol or a question mark instead of a letter, indicating that the font you're using doesn't include that character. You can change the font in the font dialog box to resolve this issue. In most cases, modern applications like Microsoft Word will automatically replace these symbols with the correct character from a different font.
