In the editing toolbar, click on the Remove Symbol icon. It usually looks like a small eraser or a symbol with a line through it. With the Remove Symbol tool selected, click on the symbol or element you want to remove from the PDF. The tool will automatically erase the selected symbol and any associated content.
The reason for this can be that the document was produced incorrectly. Another common reason is that the character mapping information was deliberately obfuscated as a protection mechanism to prevent the reader to copy paste the text data.

Open the PDF file you want to edit in Acrobat. Click on the Edit PDF tool on the right-hand side of the screen. Select a text block and make changes in the PDF or erase words using your keyboard. Erase entire text blocks by clicking Delete when the block is highlighted.
To fix unreadable text issues, go to the Preprocessing settings inside of your Document Parser (SETTINGS PREPROCESSING) and set the option Perform OCR to Yes - always perform OCR as shown in the screenshot below.
If you want to locate and remove specific words, characters, or phrases, use the Find text or tools instead. Open the PDF in Acrobat, and then do one of the following: In the Edit menu, choose Redact a PDF. Choose All tools Redact a PDF.
